Mimi Snow Lie

Hello! My name is Mimi. I was born in Houston, Texas on a snowy day - a rare occasion! My mom thought it was a unique day so she made my middle name Snow. Cool, right (literally ha). I grew up in Sugar Land, Texas and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Texas at Austin.

I moved to Chicago, Illinois to pursue a career in healthcare but I could not stop hearing in the back of my head the very cliche “chase your dreams”. I wanted to intertwine my three, true passions: social media, food & photography - and turn it into a career. Rampant thoughts became reality and I took a leap of faith to pursue my passions.

Most recently I was the marketing & social media manager for Nisos Prime & Costera Cocina, both restaurants in the West Loop, Chicago. Previously, I was the marketing director at Venteux, a swanky French brasserie, cafe and shellfish bar in downtown Chicago. I have also been the director of marketing and social media for One of a Kind Hospitality in Logan Square, Chicago. I currently freelance in marketing & social media strategy, content creation and photography for Duck Sel, Robert’s Pizza & Dough Company, The Press Room & Underground Donut Tour.

And to think: it all started with me, a girl from Sugar Land - her first social media gig was for a local ice cream sandwich shop, and she currently manages the social media for a donut tour company? Sweet dreams come true.
